As of February 7th, we will no longer support messaging in the GameChanger Classic app.
We encourage all our users who rely on the messaging feature in GC Classic to get your team set up on the new GameChanger app to continue sending messages.
The new GameChanger app has a more powerful messaging system than the one in GC Classic. When paired with the added capabilities of that app, we are confident our users will have a much better experience managing and connecting with their teams.
On the other hand, we recognize that this might be a big disruption for many of you. Please contact us at help@gc.com, and we'd be happy to help minimize the disruption and get you up and running on the new app.

I really need the ability to create custom group messages on my android as a Manager. When do you think this feature will be available for Android?
Thanks
Robert
I can message and make groups with my android now. Thanks alot.
Would be nice to have messaging on the desktop as well.
Thanks,
Robert
Using Android, it definitely needs an optional feature to receive notifications when you receive a message in the app. A player sent me a text message to tell me she had sent me a message in GameChanger.
I learned that the phone settings control messaging for iPhone, but as of yet, our experience has been the same as yours - Android has to look in the app for it.
Travis and Danni,
Thanks for the comments. It sounds like you just need to enable notifications from your device. To enable notifications on Android you should follow these steps:
You can also message us directly at help@gc.com if you need any assistance.
On the android app which is currently updated as of today I accidentally created a group message within the app and there's not way to delete a message that is there so it appears people are aware there in a chat thread that don't need to exist. I even went into desktop mode on my desktop and android device and there's not a messaging function in there where at times a coach would rather send a message to the team via his laptop or desktop, yes some of us still have desktop computers in this day and age.
I have a player and her family who are no longer associated with our team. I need the ability to purge them family members from the team community. If I am missing something please point me in the right direction.
Click remove relationship and then they will be moved to the fan section which you don't have to send messages to fans unless you have fans that you actually keep updated. I normally make sure my teamsand parents fall under the family or players category. Maybe after they get tired of receiving fan news they can go in and not be a fan at their own choosing. Anyone can be a fan of a team from what I've read.
Dale and Britchie, thanks for both writing in.
Britchie, you can remove the relationship by signing into gc.com and going to the community tab. However, you will not be able to remove them altogether from the team. Any user will be able to follow any team. However, you are able to privatize stats from fans and create unique custom message groups.
Dale, I don't think we will build team messaging into the web version of our product. I understand where you are coming from, but the far majority of ours users use the app and it would take time away from us building other features. I know this isn't what you wanted to hear and I apologize for that
In the future, if you have any questions, please feel free to message us directly at help@gc.com. We are quicker to respond from there. Thanks.
